CAMBOURNE HIGH STREET

Newcrest have been involved with Cambourne for a number of years and have already successfully delivered the larger format town centre shop units (Home Bargains, BHF Home Store, Just For Pets), the Upper Cambourne Co-op, the Holiday Inn Express hotel on Back Lane and helped bring forward the McCarthy & Stone retirement development on the High Street.  These completed phases were critical components of the longer-term strategy to deliver  a vibrant and commercially viable retail High Street for Cambourne.

 

As many of you may know, we undertook an exhaustive pre-application process with South Cambs District Council, lasting some three years, during which time numerous amendments were made to our plans – a result of comments from both the Councils (District and Town) and the public.  Following this, our detailed planning application was submitted in May 2024.
