CAMBOURNE HIGH STREET

As Cambourne residents will already know, our design process for the High Street has been ongoing for many years now.  This commenced as far back as 2019, when our original plans were published as part of the detailed Pre Application process, part of which included an extensive public display.  Both as a result of this, coupled with numerous talks we have given at Town Council meetings, plus initiatives such as this web site remaining open throughout, a large number of constructive comments have been received from a wide array of interested parties, including local residents, Town & District Councillors plus numerous statutory consultees.  In fact, due largely to the delays caused by Covid, the Pre-App process that would normally take 3-4 months, actually continued for more than 3 years, providing an unusually extended period for commentary and many of the ideas expressed have been taken on board.

 

Following extensive redesign work and consultation with South Cambridgeshire District Council, our planning application was finally submitted in May 2024.  Since then, discussions with planning officers have continued and we will continue to provide ongoing progress reports via this site.  All being well, we would hope to have our application determined by early 2025.

 

However, for any parties still wishing to make comments, this section of our site will remain open until the application is determined.
